![]() Identify and Recover Unclaimed Employee Tax Credits Every year a multitude of new Government programs are introduced at the Federal, State, and Local levels. Most businesses in the United States do not avail themselves of these credits because they do not know that they exist. And, even if they do know they exist, identifying the proper Government paperwork and determining which Employees are eligible for which credits and which programs is a true nightmare. Each year, billions of dollars of tax credits go unclaimed due to complexities in obtaining them, as well as calendar date expirations of availability of credits, particularly with new hires. World Business Services, Inc. (founded 1994) has contracted with a major tax credit organization that specializes in identifying these programs in all fifty States. Their role with them is to introduce their services to businesses, and to do the billing and collections for them for all of the clients that utilize their services. Here is how the service works. To sign-up for the service the Retex Member signs a vendor Service Agreement and a Payment Authorization form. The tax credits can be tailored so that even if a company is taking advantage of some tax credits; and, not others, that it can be customized so that only tax credit areas determined by the client will be pursued. If there is no tax credit(s) identified, there is no fee. Unlike other performance based reviews, instead of a 50/50 split, this program has a very aggressive 25% remittance that it paid whenever tax certifications of any kind are generated at the State, Local, and/or Federal Level. For example, if this program identifies $100,000 in tax credits, the Retex Member pays $25,000 of the $100,000. Then, their accountant includes the tax certifications they would receive after paying these performance based fees in their appropriate tax returns. This is not an accounting program in any fashion. In fact, World Business Services, Inc. encourages Retex Members to have a free conference call with them and their accountant, at which time any questions they or the client may have, can be answered. The value of this program to the Retex Member is if they do nothing, they will continue to not maximize the tax credits that could obtain, since no salaried employee has the time nor the skill to be able to identify the tax credits that are available for each individual employee. Additionally, the service provider interacts directly with Federal, State, and Local Government administrators to get dispositions on whether or not a specific credit is available to a specific employee.
