HOW DOES RETEX WORK?

New Global And/Or National Customer Acquisition And Retention POS Technology

Traditional loyalty and gift card programs are labor intensive. And, they can also represent an accounting nightmare in terms of the settlement of funds. If you are a Retex Member that have tens of thousands of Loyalty Cards, Gift Cards, or Membership Cards in the marketplace, the thought of initiating a new program, where just the cost of the physical plastic card may well cost you 30-40 cents per card, will run into the millions of dollars. Now, a solution is available that can infuse all your existing cards in your card holder hands in the marketplace, without having to issue new cards. However, before explaining how this is possible, it is important to understand “why” you would want to deploy this new technology, offered by Retex Services.

In traditional Gift Card and/or Loyalty Card programs, the majority of those programs are designed to process their transactions through the four major credit card processing companies who charge Interchange fees, ranging from approximately 15-18 cents per transaction. By the time the Gift Card vendor purveys their product to the Merchant, the cost of accepting a Gift Card or Loyalty Card is approximately 20-25 cents per transaction. The service providers’ business model works on a sliding scale that allows them to work with their clients in order to reduce their financial exposure during the initial stages of their program. Clients can choose to pay a One-Time License Fee, which allows them to lock-in their lowest possible per item transaction fee. Alternatively, clients may opt to pay an Annual Licensing Fee, where the per item transaction fee is marginally higher. Besides the cost savings to the Retailer and/or Etailer, this technology can take existing Gift Cards in the marketplace and turn them into Loyalty Cards, for the purpose of having the Merchant be able to track their customer buying habits. The technology also allows different companies to partner into a consortium to allow cross-promotions of their products. For example, a major bookstore chain could partner with a major coffee company to have customers from one company driven to another company. Also, the technology can provide multi-party settlement, which allows any licensee to actually be able to resell the technology if their business model is working with companies that operate underneath them, such as in a franchisor or distributor model. Settlement of funds can also be done in nearly 30 different currencies. The technology can also be displayed in multiple foreign languages.
